4-5 Years

In the Pre-K classes, play remains an integral part of the curriculum and there are ample opportunities for engaging and creative indoor and outdoor free play throughout the day.

In addition, our experienced teachers focus on preparing four and five year old students for success in Kindergarten. Our program is designed to develop learning readiness by introducing conceptual exercises, simple theory in math and language skills, and creative arts.

Using manipulatives and examples from daily life, students learn basic addition, subtraction, grouping, graphing, and number theory. Pre-K’s learn pre-reading skills with exercises in letter recognition, phonics, rhyming and sound groups. Creative projects and field trips reinforce lessons in all subject areas, hone motor skills, and bring learning to life for our enthusiastic Pre-K’s.

Our graduates attend a variety of elementary programs, from public to parochial to the most competitive independent schools in the area, and are well prepared for social and academic success in the school of their choice.
