Three-and four-year olds in our intermediate classes continue to develop social and self-help skills in a fun, age appropriate environment where they enjoy the many opportunities for creative and free play. These intermediate students learn responsibility for their space and belongings, and become increasingly self-sufficient.
Students love to visit the dress up area, curl up with a favorite book in the library corner, play in the block area, or let their imaginations run wild with art projects. During play, students develop their social skills and learn to express themselves.
Three and four year old’s also receive an introduction to phonics through stories, poems, and simple exercises. Children learn correct, comfortable writing positions and practice writing their names – a skill that makes them very proud! Through these activities, students hone their motor skills, learn to follow directions, and work independently.
